Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy covers the sleekdocs.com website and the Sleekdocs Translate service at translate.sleekdocs.com. It says what personal data we handle, why, who helps us, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.

1. Who we are

Sleekdocs is provided by Infoflex Sweden AB (organisation number 556555-9720), Observatoriegatan 21A, 113 29 Stockholm, Sweden. We are the controller for the personal data described here. Questions about personal data: dpo@sleekdocs.com. Everything else: info@sleekdocs.com.

2. What we collect

When you visit sleekdocs.com

  • Server logs: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, and the browser and device your browser reports.
  • Visit statistics: the pages you view, the page that sent you here, your browser, device, screen size and country, and links you follow. Our own Matomo collects them, on our own server, without cookies. Your IP address is shortened before it's stored, so it can't point to you, and we can't recognise you from one day to the next. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, nothing is collected.

The website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts, images and statistics all run on our own servers.

When you use Sleekdocs Translate

  • Your account: your name and email address, an account ID from our sign-in provider, and when you accepted this policy.
  • Sign-in: you sign in through Clerk, with a Google or Microsoft account or with a one-time code sent to your email. From Google or Microsoft we receive your name and email address, never your password. Clerk records your sign-in sessions with your IP address and browser.
  • Teams and roles: the teams you belong to, your role in each, your deploy permissions, and invitations sent to your email address.
  • Activity: who created or changed projects, keys and translations, and when. For API keys, when each was last used and from which IP address.
  • Payments: if your team pays for Pro, Stripe processes the payment. From Stripe we receive the billing name, address, email and VAT number given at checkout, the number of seats, and which invoices are paid or have failed. We never receive or store card details.
  • Server logs: as for the website, for each request to the service.

What you enter

Sleekdocs Translate stores the translation keys and texts you and your team enter. We don't control or monitor that content. Don't enter sensitive personal data: Sleekdocs is not the right service for it. You are responsible for having the right to enter what you enter.

When you email us

Your email address and whatever you write to us.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To provide the service you signed up for (contract): your account, sign-in, teams and roles, publishing and deploying, and the emails the service sends, such as team invitations.
  • To keep the website and service secure and working (legitimate interest): server logs, sign-in sessions and the record of who changed what.
  • To see how the website is used and improve it (legitimate interest): visit statistics.
  • To know when someone joins (legitimate interest): when a new account or team is created, we send ourselves an internal notification with its email address or team name.
  • To bill a paid team (contract), and to keep its accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To answer your questions (legitimate interest).

We never sell, trade or rent your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

4. Who helps us

These companies process personal data for us, under data processing agreements:

  • DigitalOcean: the servers, database, backups and the CDN that serves deployed translation files. Data centres in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and, for an encrypted copy of the backups, Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Clerk: sign-in. United States.
  • Google and Microsoft: sign-in, when you choose to sign in with them.
  • Mailjet: sending the service's emails. France.
  • Stripe: payments for Pro, billing and tax. Ireland and the United States.
  • Slack: our internal notification when a new account or team is created.

Where data goes outside the EU or EEA, it is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as set out in each company's data processing agreement.

5. How long we keep it

  • Your account and team data: for as long as you have an account. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days.
  • Backups: up to 30 days.
  • Server logs: 30 days.
  • Visit statistics: 13 months; after that only totals, such as visits per page and month, are kept.
  • Emails to us: 30 days after your question is answered.
  • Accounting records for payments: as long as Swedish accounting law requires, currently seven years.

6. Cookies and similar

sleekdocs.com sets no cookies. Sleekdocs Translate uses only what it needs to work: Clerk's cookies, which keep you signed in, and storage in your browser for the team you last chose. There are no cookies for analytics or advertising, so we don't ask you to accept any.

7. Security

Data is sent encrypted. Every request to the service is checked against your role in the team that owns the project, and no passwords are stored with us. We take further technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, use or disclosure.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email dpo@sleekdocs.com. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

9. Changes to this policy

We publish changes on this page. When a change matters for how we handle your data, Sleekdocs Translate asks you to read the new policy the next time you sign in.
